Building on the success of our 2016 congress, Global Engage is pleased to announce the 2nd Probiotics Congress: Asia, which will be held on March 1-2 in Hong Kong and co-located with our 3rd Microbiome R&D and Business Collaboration Congress: Asia. Last year's successful event attracted over 200 attendees.
An increasing awareness of the importance of the role different bacterial ecosystems play with regards to human health has led to a surge in research, publications and companies in the microbiome and probiotic space. As changes in our lifestyle and the growth of multi-drug resistant bacterial strains have also increased the need for better solutions and management of chronic and life-threatening illnesses, microbiome and probiotic research is one of the most scientifically important and potentially lucrative avenues to be exploring. There is mounting evidence that selected probiotic strains can confer health benefits to us, especially with regards to digestive diseases and pediatric health. Further research into mechanisms of action for particular strains, large-cohort clinical trials, and compliance with good manufacturing practice and standards will result in the next generation of probiotic products to ultimately advance both patient and animal care.

It is becoming increasingly common across all conferences for a company calling themselves Exhibitor Housing Group (or Services, or other similar names) to contact companies and people posted on a conference agenda to try to sell them hotel rooms – allowing you to believe they are appointed by the conference organizer. Poster presentation sessions will take place in breaks and alongside the other breakout sessions of the conference. Your presentation will be displayed in a dedicated area, with the other accepted posters from industry and academic presenters.
We also issue a poster eBook to all attendees with your full abstract in and can share your poster as a PDF after the meeting if you desire (optional).
Whether looking for funding, employment opportunities or simply wanting to share your work with a like-minded and focused group, these are an excellent way to join the heart of this congress.
In order to present a poster at the forum you need to be registered as a delegate. Please note that there is limited space available and poster space is assigned on a first come first served basis (subject to checks and successful registration).
We charge an admin fee of $50 to industry delegates to present, that goes towards the shared cost of providing the poster presentation area and display boards, guides etc. This fee is waived for those representing academic institutions and not for profit organisations.
We will require the form (downloadable below) to be submitted by the 10th of February. This is the formal deadline however space is another limiting factor so early application is recommended. Therefore please contact us with any questions you have as soon as possible.
Posters should be presented as A0 or US equivalent, size E (841mm x 1189mm or 34 x 44 inches respectively) in portrait orientation. In order to present a poster at the forum, you need to be registered as a delegate.
The session duration for each topic was just nice – not too long and not too short. The variety of topics was also good.
