3rd Microfluidics Congress

UTILIZING MICROFLUIDIC TECHNOLOGIES AS A TOOL FOR PROGRESSING MEDICAL RESEARCH AND PATIENT CARE

Building on the success of the 2nd Microfluidics Congress held in December last year, Global Engage is pleased to announce that the event will be returning as part of our 4bioevent on the 4th – 5th December in Central London at the Novotel London West Hotel. This event will be co-located with the 5th qPCR and Digital PCR Congress, the 4th Synthetic Biology & Gene Editing Congress, and the NGS Tech & Applications Congress.

Microfluidics Congress Featured Speakers @4BIO

Synopsis

Microfluidics continues to be an exciting and rapidly developing area in the life sciences with a continually expanding range of applications. As technologies and strategies continue to mature, this congress brings together experts in academia and industry to network and share ideas.

Attracting experts working in microfluidic development and application, including point-of-care diagnostics, single cell analysis, lab-on-a-chip applications, droplet microfluidics and next generation microfluidics, the conference will examine the latest developments in the technologies and techniques being used for progressing medical research in areas as disease monitoring, diagnostics and organ-on-a-chip. This interactive meeting will allow you to keep up to date with the cutting edge of research and provides the opportunity to make connections with academics, investors and businesses in your field.

Agenda

UTILISING MICROFLUIDIC TECHNOLOGIES AS A TOOL FOR PROGRESSING MEDICAL RESEARCH AND PATIENT CARE

4bio

This strand of 4BIO brings together an outstanding speaker faculty from industry and academia. The agenda covers subjects as diverse as optical tools for ultra high-throughput cellular analysis and 3d-printed bio microfluidics. In addition, one day is dedicated to healthcare case studies ranging in scope from the medical applications of organ-on a chip technology to combining microarrays with microfluidics for circulating tumor cell capture giving you the opportunity to explore the practical application of this technology.

Poster Presentations

Poster presentation sessions will take place in breaks and alongside the other breakout sessions of the conference. Your presentation will be displayed in a dedicated area, with the other accepted posters from industry and academic presenters.

We also issue a poster eBook to all attendees with your full abstract in and can share your poster as a PDF after the meeting if you desire (optional).

Whether looking for funding, employment opportunities or simply wanting to share your work with a like-minded and focused group, these are an excellent way to join the heart of this congress.

In order to present a poster at the forum you need to be registered as a delegate. Please note that there is limited space available and poster space is assigned on a first come first served basis (subject to checks and successful registration).

We charge an admin fee of £100 to industry delegates to present, that goes towards the shared cost of providing the poster presentation area and display boards, guides etc. This fee is waived for those representing academic institutions and not for profit organisations.

Submission instructions

We will require the form (downloadable below) to be submitted by the 17th November. This is the formal deadline however space is another limiting factor so early application is recommended. Therefore please contact us with any questions you have as soon as possible.

Submission Form

To submit your poster please complete the form below.

Posters should be presented as A0 or US equivalent, size E (841mm x 1189mm or 34 x 44 inches respectively) in portrait orientation. In order to present a poster at the forum, you need to be registered as a delegate.

Testimonials

What our delegates say about the conference

Poster session organisation

The poster session was handled better than at some competitive meetings.

Michael Shuler

Samuel B. Eckert Professor of Engineering, Cornell University and CEO/President of Hesperos, Inc., Orlando, FL, USA

Access to co-located meetings

The access to both microfluidics and PCR content was extremely valuable to me since my research involved both topics.

Charles Cartier

Research Assistant, Department of Chemical Engineering, The Pennsylvania State University

Networking and collaboration

The networking allowed more in-depth discussion resulting in collaborations cross disciplines.

Carolyn Ren

Professor, Canada Research Chair in Droplet Microfluidics and Lab-on-a-Chip Technology, Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, University of Waterloo, Canada

Leading industry technologies

There was a good mix between congress topics, in microfluidics and qPCR in particular, which gelled well. I also liked the presence of a lot of commercial displays show casing the leading industry technologies.

Pat Walsh

Lecturer, Stoke Laboratories
