2nd Partnerships in Biocontrol, Biostimulants & Microbiome Congress

Building on the success of our 2016 event, Global Engage is pleased to announce the 2nd Partnerships in Biocontrol, Biostimulants & Microbiome - Where Science Meets Business, which will be held on November 2-3, 2017 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The event will be co-located with the 5th Plant Genomics & Gene Editing Congress USA.

Should you be an expert in developing biological products, or a scientist researching plant and microbe processes, the conference will be an excellent opportunity to learn, share, discuss and engage with the most current plant science research and technology. During the two-day conference, there will be networking breaks to promote interaction with your peers, expert led case study presentations, a dynamic exhibition room filled with technology providers showcasing their technologies and solutions, roundtable discussions for in-depth exploration of key issues, and an interactive panel discussion.

2017 Advisory Panel

Increasing prioritization of sustainability in agriculture has led to rapid growth in the agricultural biologicals industry. The benefits of biological products in agriculture are significant, and developments in technology and research make agricultural biologicals an exciting, dynamic industry in which to work and study.

In order to reflect the latest dynamic developments, this year the congress includes expanded coverage of the plant and soil microbiome. The addition of roundtable discussions led by a leading expert will enable deeper discussion in topics such as: Metagenomics; Biostimulants Regulation; Precision Agriculture; Commercialization & Business Development; Product Formulation; Storage & Delivery; Industry-Academia Collaboration.

A key focus of the event is facilitating collaboration between the over 170 senior representatives from industry and academia who attend. In terms of content, the conference will examine the latest technologies, strategies and research in the growing biologicals industry.

  • Plant and soil microbiome
  • Metagenomics
  • Natural predators
  • Plant / fungal extracts
  • Regulations, investment and market trends
  • Fostering collaborations between industry and academia

Poster Presentations

Poster presentation sessions will take place in breaks and alongside the other breakout sessions of the conference. Your presentation will be displayed in a dedicated area, with the other accepted posters from industry and academic presenters.

We also issue a poster eBook to all attendees with your full abstract in and can share your poster as a PDF after the meeting if you desire (optional).

Whether looking for funding, employment opportunities or simply wanting to share your work with a like-minded and focused group, these are an excellent way to join the heart of this congress.

In order to present a poster at the forum you need to be registered as a delegate. Please note that there is limited space available and poster space is assigned on a first come first served basis (subject to checks and successful registration).

We charge an admin fee of $100 to industry delegates to present, that goes towards the shared cost of providing the poster presentation area and display boards, guides etc. This fee is waived for those representing academic institutions and not for profit organisations.

Submission instructions

We will require the form (downloadable below) to be submitted by the 20th of October. This is the formal deadline however space is another limiting factor so early application is recommended. Therefore please contact us with any questions you have as soon as possible.

The feedback to the conference has been very positive with 87% of attendees saying they are interested to return again in 2017.

Comments from the feedback included:

High quality talks, pertinent topics, small enough to network effectively

Very up to date material was presented. A good representation of the state of research and commercial direction of plant sciences.

Intimate setting and relevant topics created a good forum for discussion and networking

Good breadth of topics. Well presented and informative. Good for “thinking out of the box”

I liked the ability to really have discussions with speakers and other attendees. I also liked the spectrum of topics covered
