Asian Construction Leaders' Summit 2012
7-8 November 2012 | Prince Hotel & Residence, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Promoting Sustainable Construction of Infrastructure and Enabling Asian Economic Growth

For the first time, we are bringing together Government Officials, Financing, and Construction Companies to discuss the industry’s most pressing issues.

“During 2010–2020, it is estimated that Asia will need to invest approximately US$8 trillion in overall national infrastructure for energy, transport, telecommunications, water, and sanitation. In addition, the region will need to spend approximately US$300 billion on regional pipeline infrastructure projects in transport, energy, and telecommunications. This amounts to an overall infrastructure investment need of about US$750 billion per year during this 11-year period”. Financing Asia’s Infrastructure: Modes of Development and Integration of Asian Financial Markets, ADB, July 2010

Asian economic growth is hampered by the deficit in infrastructure supply. Lack of infrastructure deprives the otherwise fast growing Asian economies by 2% lost growth of GDP per annum.

Asian Construction Leaders’ Summit will discuss the following key challenges of Asian infrastructure by bringing together the regional stakeholders in governments, consultants, financing institutions, AEC and EPC firms:

Construction industry is playing a leadership role in aiding the regional economic growth as it consumes a significant amount of resources – funds, technology, materials and skills.

For the infrastructure development to be sustainable there is a strong need for an early integration with the other stakeholders of infrastructure development.

Asian Construction Leaders’ Summit will be the regional platform to facilitate this integration. Click here to get the latest Agenda
